Update

Another exciting week underway and almost over for me. My new 50mm 1.4 lens arrived yesterday. I was super excited to take it out and break it in today - see below.

Last night I went to see Xavier Rudd at the Freo Arts Centre. I went with my brother, it was such a great chilled out event, the weather was awesome. The support band was great as well - Jeremy Fisher.

For the rest of the week I've been madly rearranging the office and building my new website which I hope will be up by the end of next week, proofing weddings, designing FOTOFREO
t'shirts and trying to work out hanging options for my expo. I'm so excited about Foto Freo 2008. So many great photographers will be heading to our shores and hanging out in this beautiful city... amazing exhibitions, awesome slideshows, and heap of interesting workshops, lectures and portfolio reviews... all mixed with some great parties and networking. Going to be a good April, if you have any interest in photography I recommend you write it in the calenders.

All that and so much more to look forward to.... SUMMER, shooting, Christmas, shooting , camping, shooting, BBQ's, developing my next film (they're always so much more exciting then digital, and I've been playing with an old Minolta my friend found at a garage sale). YAY

JCCC class of 2007

I had a shoot today with the graduating class from John Calvin Christian College.
All the students were dressed up to the nines and looking super smashing. Here's just a little preview... how sexy is the new 50mm lens (used to shoot most of these pics) yum I love it, can't wait to get more primes.

-Sorry there's so many of you I can't fit you all on here but you will have the proofs next week, Enjoy your summer.

Pantai Lasiana

One guess what I'm dreaming of.... these are taken at Lasiana beach in Tarus West Timor. Both this year and last year in my time there it served for some great bonfire bbq's, beach soccer, guitar playing and laughs.

Rob and Charlene

Rob and Charlene were married on Saturday in Baldivas and then headed to Fremantle for some photo's and reception at the Maritime Museum. Both made for a very good looking couple and were so relaxed.
Rob and Chaz - It was great fun taking photo's with you both. X

Check out this handsome young man, haha, yep that's my LITTLE brother (he's at least a good head taller than me). His beautiful girlfriend Emma is Rob's sister.
Charlene's sister made each of the guests personalized badges, how cute are they. I got one that said "I shoot people," haha, I love it, what a great idea.

Brett & Ben

I love my friends and one of the reasons is because they're constantly doing weird and wonderful things and letting me photograph them. We had a bbq turn photo shoot with some of them in Mandurah last night using some industrial light that Brett had at his house.

WAIFT Fashion Show

I had great night last night. I second shot for Samm Blake at the WAIFT Graduate fashion show. The students ranges were amazing, those girls have a lot of talent. The models all looked super hot and the whole set up was great.
I love the texture in the outfits that shows in the top two series, it was great being the second shooter as I had the freedom to move around a bit and get a little creative. The last series are my three favorite pieces from the ready to wear ranges.
You may remember the pic of me in the red dress made by Renee Blake... she also made the middle outfit (red and blue). How cute is it?

Lael & James

Lael and James where married on the weekend at Christ Church in Claremont with a reception at the royal Perth Yacht club. The day was amazing, we took photo's at the boat shed and in the Matilda bay park. Lael looked amazing, I think she has the most beautiful jaw line and has a great profile. Here are some of my favorite from the day...

Albany Show

I was in Albany last weekend for the Dekker family shoot and was happy to find out the Albany show was on. It brought back great memories of side show alley, baking cakes for the competition (we won one year) and eating strawberries and cream (my favorite). Here are a couple of my fav pics from the day.

Amy

So many exciting things going on at the moment... I found out last night that my good friend Amy is engaged, yay. Amy's living in England at the moment and due to both of our traveling habits I haven't seen her since June last year or met her man, though I've heard all good things and can't wait to meet him. Found some photo's of her, so many fun times together, check out that great smile (How good will the wedding pics be, she's the one with the dark hair) Amy I can't wait till you come home, Love you.

The Dekker Family

I made a trip to Albany last week, caught up with my parents and younger sister, who I just found out is pregnant, yay, two additions to the family due next year (my older sister is also pregnant). While I was down there I photographed the Dekker family out at Frenchmans bay, so many beautiful blonde kids. We had a fun evening with the kids jumping off tables and playing in the sand and grass. I forgot what a great place Frenchmans bay is, especially as a kid, white white sand, still clear water, rocks, grass, trees.... all the fun things.
